• 1 Answer SOURCE: If you look along the top edge of the escape/function/del keys, there are several small plastic tabs that hold the keypad in place. Use a very small flat head screwdriver to push these back from one corner across to the other, gently lifting the keypad as you go. When you press back the last tab, the keypad should just pop out but take care as it's connected by a cable at the bottom edge of the keys. The RAM slots are located under a thin metal cover under the keypad. You'll need a very small philips head screwdriver to undo this. After installing RAM, replace the metal cover then pop the keypad back in, bottom edge first and just press down the top edge and the plastic tabs should snap back into place.

Alternatively, the model number will be located in the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) setup pages, which can be entered by pressing the F2 key when powering on the system. In the BIOS, it will be under the Information tab as Product Name, or use the arrow keys to navigate to Product Information, and press Enter. The product name will be listed in the page that shows.
